Description

The Aircraft Lavatory Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and servicing Airlink’s aircraft lavatories and lavatory systems. This includes draining and cleaning lavatories, sanitizing effluent dumping sites, completing paperwork, and ensuring that all required equipment and consumables are available and properly used. The position involves working under the guidance of the Operations Manager and liaising with supervisors in their absence. The cleaner is expected to maintain good housekeeping, adhere to company standards, and attend training when required.

Responsibilities

• Drain and clean aircraft lavatories and systems as per company procedure
• Sanitize effluent dumping sites used in the draining process
• Complete required paperwork daily
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained
• Request consumables in a timely manner and as per procedure
• Return all equipment drawn for the job daily
• Report damaged equipment to the Team Leader
• Liaise with the Senior Supervisor in the absence of the Operations Manager
• Collect and dispose of waste according to company procedures
• Follow instructions from the company supervisor, crew chief, chief inspector, and Executive Manager
• Align actions and work with the company mission
• Attend training sessions when required
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with company standards and Occupational Health and Safety regulations
• Assist with any additional tasks within the scope of the job description

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement: Grade 12 certificate or equivalent N4
• Safety hazard training
• At least 1 year of aircraft lavatory cleaning experience is required
• Willingness to work on a shift basis
• Ability to understand and work in a cleaning environment
• Effective communication skills in English
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions
• Ability to work under pressure, independently, and as part of a team
• Problem-solving skills and logical thinking
• Attention to detail, customer service orientation, and time management
• Basic numeracy and computer literacy
